Most of you I'm sure know what "Elf on a Shelf" is by now. You buy a boy or girl elf and they appear somewhere in the house. You explain to the kid(s) how she watches them and then at night goes to see Santa to tell him if they've been naughty or nice. Also, they can not be touched or their magic will disappear. They get to name the elf, Juliet chose Tulip. She only moves occasionally during the warm months but as Christmas gets closer, she moves around more and more (presumably because she's talking to Santa more about if her child has been naughty or nice). It's a fun way to help keep the kids behaving and some people go all out with their elves (doing fun pranks at night, etc), but for now she just moves around and keeps watch.
Tonight We finally got our tree up and Tulip appeared on top with a note for Juliet. It says that she got the tree ready for her but she has to wait until her big brother Alex gets here on Friday to decorate it.
You'll probably see a lot more if Tulip in the next few weeks. :)
