Every beginning has an end.....

Tonight was the end of our petting zoo days. We got rid of the sheep and goats. It was not an easy decision and was hard on all of us, mostly Juliet. Here she is sitting outside waiting for the new owners to show up and trying hard to talk me out of getting rid of them. "They're not crazy mommy, they're trying to be funny!"

They went to a great home where they will remain pets and not be used for meat, which was important to us.

Catching them all was a fiasco. In the end, we got them though and the hard part is over. Now we are consoling Juliet and planning the take back of the outside of our house. The animals did considerable damage to the yard and just constantly messed up our deck. We're excited in start the cleaning process knowing this time our efforts won't be destroyed the next day.

And the biggest thing of all, we can start planning out our garden for next Spring without having the animals eat everything like last time.
