Morning Feeding

Anakin "Ani" Skywalker had a good night last night. She was pretty tired and slept all night long. When she woke up, she was definitely ready for breakfast.

Since Mom and baby are having a little trouble with feeding, we've been milking Padme and then bottle feeding it to Ani. This was a very slow process and did not yield much at all - barely enough to halfway fill a newborn baby bottle.

Well, today Allen fashioned this new milking system. You put it on the teat, use the hand pump and the milk drains straight into the mason jar. And as you can see-in one sitting we got a QUART!

Now Momma is happy and baby will have enough fresh milk daily to help her keep growing (she's so tiny!)
