and today from our Country Kitchen....

After making another Angel Food cake to take to our neighbors we were left with quite a few yolks. The dogs are egged out so what to do....what to do.....

Allen found a great recipe for a yellow cake that only used yolks. Um, YAY!

We were worried it would be dense and heavy but were pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be really, really good. Allen said it tastes like the outside of a Twinkie and I say that's a thumbs up!

Oh and in honor of two homemade cakes, in one day I decided to try one more thing, homemade cool whip. YUM-MMY!
